Favorite Song Right Now: That is tricky. I listen to all different types of music so you never know what might be playing in my car.
Favorite Thing to Do Outside of Work: Spend time with my family—my husband Joey and two children, Leah who is 8 years old and Collin who is 3 years old. We love being outside and spend most of our time after work outdoors with our children. I also have a passion for fitness and enjoy running long distance and any high-intensity cardio workouts.
I usually start my mornings early, around 5:45 a.m., but first, I have coffee. I am an early riser and like having time to squeeze in a workout before the day starts and I dive into my emails.
I usually log on early before the rest of my team so I have time to respond to any emails that came in after hours. Then, I plan my day by taking care of the top priority items first and making a “to-do” list. Some tasks require a quicker response time than others, so I like to sort this list in order of priority, from top to lower priority items.
I save my housekeeping to-do items for the afternoon. I love starting my day by tackling the harder items first and leaving the easier tasks for later in the afternoon.
I typically spend the evenings cooking dinner and playing outside with the kids.
I absolutely love my role as a Recruiting Manager. Each day can look very different, and I enjoy wearing various hats that allow me to utilize different skills. I have a passion for recruiting, training and mentoring, recruitment strategy, out-of-the-box critical thinking, troubleshooting, and recruiting process improvements so we are working smarter, not harder. In addition, I love our team here at CTG. Everyone at CTG is truly a team player and we all have the same goals and passion for what we do. Being able to work with such an incredible team is truly a joy. In my Recruiting Manager role, I love being able to make both our candidates and clients happy by meeting hiring objectives. I have always had a passion for working with candidates in the market, listening to their needs and career goals, really understanding what they are looking to do next in their careers, then matching their needs and wants with those of our clients.
My career advice is to always look to be better each day, be open to learn from others, keep a positive attitude, and be kind. I have learned a lot from my time at CTG. I started as an Administrative Assistant back in 2006 and worked my way to my current Recruiting Management role. I have learned so much, but what I think I have learned most is to be a good listener. Always listen to the needs of candidates, clients, and co-workers. When we understand each other’s goals and needs, success comes very naturally for everyone!
