Favorite Thing to Do Outside of Work: Play golf and cricket

I wake up between 6:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. I cannot start my day without having a hot cup of tea. I finish my breakfast and get ready by 7:30 a.m. before my two little kids (Samaira, five years old, and Sehej, two years old) wake up. At 8:30 a.m., my wife leaves for work and drops the kids off at school.

I start my work at 8:30 a.m. I work from my home office, so I do not have to dress up and can work in a relaxed outfit, my PJs. I check my emails and get ready for a daily stand-up meeting at 9 a.m.

I have team members working across hemispheres in places like Alaska, Houston, Toronto, London, and India. We have a great team that works around the clock on multiple projects. I spend my morning looking at critical items, having meetings, and helping team members with issues.

After lunch, I work on finishing tasks and action items assigned to me, set up meetings, and send critical status updates to team members.

Around 5:30 p.m., my wife and kids come home and that is the alarm to shut down my work. I take them to classes or to the park for some outdoor activities.

We have dinner by 7:30 p.m. and put kids to bed by 9 p.m. My wife and I catch up on our days while cleaning up and preparing for tomorrow. After that, I check my emails and, if needed, work for another hour before going to bed at 11 p.m.

The thing I like most about CTG is the work culture. My manager is a gem, which is true for all CTG managers. I manage my own time and projects, and that flexibility is what I like the most. I started as a Senior Consultant and now I am working as an Architect/Principal Consultant. I am lucky to have one of the best teams—we all learn, share, collaborate, and grow together.
